Applicants for Win This Space have moved onto the next phase of the competition.
18 local entrepreneurs were selected to partake in the next step, which is three mandatory online business development sessions.
The sessions are being led by two trainers from the Community business development corporation. The first two sessions were on December first and eighth. The next session is December 15th.
Win This Space Coordinator, Brenda LaGrandeur, talked about the trainers who will instruct the applicants.
“The CBDC has hired two trainers who are specialized,” says LaGrandeur. “One specialized in marketing and communications. The other specialized in the financial aspect of running a company.”
She also talked about the businesses that have moved forward.
“We have some really great business ideas and we don’t have a lot of the same business ideas,” says LaGrandeur “The range of business ideas and potential businesses is fantastic. We also have great representation across the region.”
The applicants have until January fourth to submit a complete business plan, which will begin the next stage of the competition.
