A message from the Yarmouth Legion to Sunday night bingo players: COVID-19 rules aren’t just a suggestion.
In a lengthy facebook post issued on Friday, the Legion details some issues they’ve had since recently starting bingo up again.
COVID rules dictate that players can remove their masks once seated, but have to put it back on whenever they leave the table.
The rules are set out by the province’s Emergency Health Act, and are not negotiable.
The Legion says some guests have been reluctant to follow the rules, while others have been outright rude toward staff.
The organization stresses that the off-putting behaviour is from a minority of guests, but they re-iterate that it will not be tolerated.
The Legion says anyone caught violating the rules in the future will be asked to leave the premises immediately.
