The Warden for the Municipality of the District of Yarmouth is now on a leave of absence – but details surrounding the cause are scarce.
The announcement was made via a brief message on the Municipality’s facebook page late on Wednesday night.
It says that a motion was passed during their regular council meeting to approve Warden Leland Anthony’s absence following an internal review.
The Municipality notes that the scope of the review fell under the Elected Officials Code of Conduct as well as the Violence in the Workforce policy.
The release ends by stating that there will be no further comment from any Municipal councillors or staff.
There’s no word on the length of the leave.
Municipal elections are slated for October 17th.
