Another person has died from COVID-19.
A release Thursday says there has been one new death in the central zone, that makes 61 since the pandemic started.
It says the man was not a resident of a long-term care home.
No new cases were announced Tuesday.
Our provincial total for confirmed cases stands at 1058 and 995 people have recovered.
That should only leave two active cases, but provincial data shows three active cases in hospital, one of those in ICU, and four at the Northwood long-term care home in Halifax.
That’s as many as seven.
Chief Medical Officer of Health Doctor Robert Strang says the numbers don’t work out because of inconsistent reporting schedules, and says they aren’t looking for a way to resolve it because there isn’t any value, given how few cases remain.
