The MLA for Argyle-Barrington says he can’t imagine experience the events of last weekend.
Colton LeBlanc is an advanced care paramedic and has been on many emergency scenes.
He says his heart goes out to the victims and their families, as well as to all the front line workers who were part of the team effort dealing with the situation.
“Obviously, there’s so many contributing factors in different scenes and I can’t obviously speak to this past weekend’s events,” he noted. “But the magnitude of the operations at that time, as we’re hearing now, stretched over many many kilometres.”
He says rural areas have different challenges when it comes to accessing emergency aid, including spotty cellphone reception and distance from needed resources.
He says scenes like this can be very chaotic but can often be what many call “controlled chaos”.
