A nickname is one of those things that just kind of stick! One day someone calls you it and then it is there for a long time if not ever. Sometimes of course this is good and other times it is bad. Depending on the name!
Sometimes names are just shortened like mine for instance. Ben is a shortened name for Benjamin. Other times someone might give you a nickname from characteristic like being tall!
