Tri-County Regional Centre For Education schools will remain closed to students from March 23 to April 3, following March break. The closure will be reassessed at the end of this period.
Schools within the Conseil Scolaire Acadien Provincial are also closed to students from March 23 to April 3, following March break.

Universities in the province have cancelled classes from March 16 to 20, and others are suspending in-person classes for the rest of the term.
Classes at NSCC, including Burridge and Shelburne campuses are also suspended from March 26 through April 3.
Archdiocese of Halifax and Yarmouth : All Masses, both Sunday and weekday, Liturgies of the Word, and all other liturgical gatherings will suspended until further notice beginning on Monday, March 16th. The move also applies to all other large parish gatherings. Further directives are forthcoming.
NSHA says Many Nova Scotia Health Authority services are being reduced or suspended until further notice as part of the effort to contain the spread of COVID-19. This includes the following western zone blood collection sites:
Lockeport Medical Center, Lockeport
Barrington Community Health Center, Barrington
Clare Medical Centre, Meteghan
Weymouth Medical Centre, Weymouth
Additionally, All elective outpatient visits are cancelled. Individual services will contact patients whose appointments are proceeding. Dialysis, chemotherapy and radiation treatments, and mental health and addictions appointments will continue.
All branches of Western Counties Regional Libraries are closed.
Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and Nova Scotia Museum sites are closed.
The Nova Scotia Supreme Court has suspended all upcoming jury trials in the province for a 60-day period.

The Municipality of Clare has suspended all Clare Recreation Services activities and all activities at the Clare Veterans Centre until further notice, though the municipal office remains open at this time.
The Municipality of Digby office will be closed to the public as of Tuesday, March 17, 2020 until further notice. For any inquiries please call 902-245-4777.

The Municipality of the District of Yarmouth says that effective immediately, and until further notice, the front entrance will be the only public entrance to the municipal building, 932 Hwy 1 in Hebron. Clients and members of the public’s movements in the building will be limited to the boardroom, washroom and administration service counter.
The Town of Yarmouth has been providing timely updates via facebook. They include a note to transit riders : “Due to the growing safety concerns for both transit customers and drivers, and to continue to help in the crucial effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, Town of Yarmouth Transit will stop all service at the end of the regularly scheduled day Wednesday, March 18th.”
Additionally: Beginning Wednesday, March 18th until Friday, March 20th, Town Hall will be open to the public from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm only. Beginning Monday, March 23rd, town hall will be closed to the pubic until further notice. More information regarding important contacts will be made available soon.
The Municipality of Barrington says all municipal offices and facilities will be closed until April 6th, 2020. This closure will be reassessed as necessary. All non-essential services, such as by-law enforcement, shall be reduced, in favor of more critical municipal services. All recreation related activities are suspended until further notice. All municipal related travel is suspended until further notice. Interest charges for the month of March are being waived
The Municipality of the District of Shelburne echoes that message, and also provided details on a recent trip made by a Shelburne Councillor to Italy. The Municipality notes that they followed provincial protocol.
The Town of Shelburne says due to preventative measures, all Council Committee Meetings will be postponed for the Month. Committees include: CP & V, Shelburne Port Authority, Asset Management Committee, and Events Committees.
The Yarmouth YMCA is closing the facility until further notice.
The Yarmouth Farmers Market is closed until further notice.
Organizations including Meals on Wheels, Kidzact, and Yarmouth Figure Skating Club have suspected activities and cancelled select events until further notice.
Events at the Salle Pere-Maurice in Tusket have been postponed until the end of April.
The Aiden Mae Wellness Room continues to operate but assessing one day at a time, saying “Isolation is not an ideal situation for anyone but definitely not for many of our youth.”
