The Nova Scotia Health Authority is now limiting the number of people who can visit inpatients at all sites.
The move has been made to prevent the spread of any respiratory illness, including COVID-19.
Patients in NSHA facilities can name up to two people who will be their family or primary support person/people.
Those chosen as family/primary support person may be changed over time as specified by the patient, who will let the health care team know who the people are.
Visitation will be limited to those individuals and they should not be anyone who is sick or who live with someone who is sick.
Visitors should always wash or sanitize their hands before and after their visit.
There are currently NO cases of COVID-19 in Atlantic Canada.
Additional information about NSHA’s response to COVID-19 is available at http://www.nshealth.ca/coronavirus.
