A large power outage in Digby County is causing some issues on Monday morning.
Classes at CSAP schools in the Clare region are cancelled for the day.
Tri-County Regional Centre for Education reports St. Mary’s Bay Academy and Weymouth Consolidated are closed today because of power outages.
Nova Scotia Power reports just over 6,100 customers without power at this hour.
Estimated restoration time is 12:00 noon, the cause is damage to transmission equipment.
Meantime, the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal says roads in Digby County are snow covered in most areas and all trucks are out.
