Justin Trudeau will name a new cabinet on Wednesday but a Canadian politics professor says the Prime Minister has his work cut out for him.
Trudeau will want Alberta and Saskatchewan represented but no Liberals MP’s were elected in the two Prairie provinces.
Mario Levesque with Mount Allison University says an NDP member was elected in the Edmonton area but it’s unusual to choose a minister from another party.
“I don’t think that will be enough for Alberta, though, or for Saskatchewan either,” he stated. “I think much more will need to be done.”
Levesque says choosing Senators from those provinces is another possibility.
But several Senators have already stated publicly that they wouldn’t even entertain the idea.
