
The Shelburne Atom Flames won a bronze medal at the Fall Face-off hosted by Clare Digby Minor Hockey Association on the weekend.
They lost the first game 6-4 to the TASA Ducks. Brayden Smith, Ethan Nickerson, Nash Atwood, and Jaxxon Mood had 1 goal and 1 assist each, Callie Goreham had 1 assist, and the Game MVP was Nash Atwood.
Next, they defeated Clare/Digby 6-3. Ethan Nickerson had 2 goals, Brayden Smith and Jaxxon Mood had 1 goal and 1 assist each, Callie Goreham and Brex Brannen scored once each, Shaylee Smith had 1 assist, and Brody Peterson was the Game MVP.
They lost their third game 10-7 to Yarmouth. Game MVP Jaxxon Mood led the Flames with 3 goals and 2 assists, while Callie Goreham, Brex Brannen, and Shaylee Smith each scored once.
The Flames got some revenge on the TASA Ducks, tripling them 6-2 in the bronze medal game. Jaxxon Mood led once again with 4 goals, Game MVP Brayden Smith had 1 goal and 2 assists, and Ty Williams had 1 goal.
