This will be the cheapest weekend for gas prices in Nova Scotia since 2016.
Petroleum analyst Dan McTeague says, even with the long weekend approaching, he doesn’t expect any change when fuel prices are set at midnight.
“Mostly because we haven;t seen markets really move in the past few days so maybe a decrease of 2/10th’s maybe 3/10th’s of a cent. More often or not when it’s that small, there’s really isn’t much need for any change and it’s usually caught in what’s known as the ‘forward averaging’.
He says next week prices could be affected by Hurricane Dorian if it slams into the Gulf of Mexico where many refineries are located.
