Firefighters are back on scene at a forest fire in Shelburne County.
One fire in Jordan Lake is out but the other, in Jordan Bay is still active.
Brian Comeau is district supervisor with the Dept. of Lands and Forestry and incident commander.
He says the fire covers about 15 hectares
“I have 12 firefighters from Lands and Forestry, two people with a tanker from the Shelburne Fire Department and I have two helicopters bombing the fire.”
He says they hope to have the fire under control by tonight.
Comeau says there have been no evacuations and no buildings have been damaged.

Meanwhile, Shelburne Mayor Karen Mattatall says firefighters deserve credit for their quick response to the fire on Sunday.
Mattattall says with the recent spell of dry weather, there was immediate concern of how quickly flames could spread.
“But, we had an additional concern that it was near our water supply. There was a concern as to whether it would require chemical suppresents. Fortunately, it didn’t.”
A cause has not yet been determined.
Mattatall says people should be careful when throwing away cigarette butts and pay attention to daily burn restrictions.
