Switch Open Street takes place a couple of times a year, transforming Main Street into safe, fun and festive family spaces. Main Street is closed to vehicles from noon to 4 p.m.
The final one for the year is this Sunday, August 25.
Yarmouth Recreation Director Frank Grant says they, and the Yarmouth YMCA, make sure there’s something for all ages.
“Games and activities that are drop-in style, just for fun. Ball hockey is always a popular one. Tennis and very various games. People can just drop by and try them out. With the street closed, people seem to enjoy the large open area and the atmosphere.”
There’s also live music, vendors selling food, crafts and much more.
