A festival promoting women and song in Lockeport is back for its 14th year.
Harmony Bazaar begins Friday with songwriter and youth vocal workshops during the daytime and music at Seacaps Memorial Park.
This year’s performers include Juno nominated singer-songwriting duo, Madison Violet and Mo Kenney.
Artistic Director Terri Dean-MacNeil says it’s shaping up to be a great event.
“Mo Kenney has seven Nova Scotia Music Week awards, she’s got two ECMAs, Canadian Folk Music Singer award, just really high calibre talent. We’re just really excited to have these strong, powerful, talented women in one stage.”
Dean-MacNeil says she’s pleased to offer a spotlight for youth and first nations to showcase their talent as well.
Other performers this year include Doris Mason, Moscow Apartment, Beth Terry, the Blue Lane, Piper Hayes and the Kendra Gale Band.
Tickets are available online or at select locations in Lockeport and Shelburne.
