The youth have been participating in a Juniorpreneur Camp put on by the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development, or CEED.
Danielle Surette, Executive Assistant for local host, Ignite Labs, tells Y95 News three instructors from Halifax have been guiding the budding entrepreneurs.
“They teach them how to create their own businesses, plan their ides, put them in motion, and they get to work together as a team and individually and, at the end of it, they get to go to Alma Square and show off their creations and their ideas”
She says the students are excited to show what they’ve learned at camp.
“They’re going to be set up in Alma Square with their own little inventions and their own businesses. There’s about fifteen of them, so you’ll defintiely notice them; they’re very energetic and they’re very excited”
Juniorpreneur Camp is a five-day program designed for youth ages 8 through 14 where three instructors from Halifax were here to help campers develop new skills and hone existing ones while learning what it takes to be an Entrepreneur.
