A local woman has made it on to the latest series of Master Chef Canada.
Tusket resident Alyssa LeBlanc, better known to many for her musical abilities will compete against 17 other hopefuls, including two others from Nova Scotia.
She tells CJLS News the show is her favourite and she dreamed about trying out some day.
Then she saw an ad on the internet.
“and said…’hmmmm, I’m just going to do it, I’m going to audition.’ So I did and I ended up getting a call from a producer asking me to go to audition. The auditions were in Halifax and I got invited to go to Toronto”
LeBlanc tells CJLS News she grew up in a family full of cooks but she really got in to it after an accident.
“I had to stop working and I used to do a lot of sports and a bunch of things and I couldn’t do any of that anymore, so I decided to put all my time and energy into cooking and that’s when it really started to progress and I got a lot better at it then”
You can watch her and the others competing for the Master Chef Canada title starting Monday, April 8th on CTV.
She can also still be found performing music at various venues in the area.
