An employee who works in a shared position in the Town and Municipality of Shelburne is still suspended after an incident on February 16.
RCMP were called to Shelburne Regional High School to investigate an alleged assault involving a 17 year-old boy in a locker room.
Corporal Jennifer Clarke says it’s a challenging investigation because there were no witnesses.
“There is always a way for us to get the information we’re looking for and try to look into things and corroberate what happened with other evidence we may be able to find.”
Town of Shelburne CAO, Darren Shupe, says the accused was suspended without pay but cannot comment further until the RCMP investigation is complete.
