Bay Ferries has announced that the MV Fundy Rose will be out of service for a few weeks beginning the end of this month.
The ferry, which travels between Digby and Saint John, will be in Halifax for maintenance.
Mark MacDonald, President and CEO of Bay Ferries, tells Acadia News that the vessel will be tied up starting on the 28th.
“There’s a series of maintenance work and other technical work to be done on the ship, which we’ll be doing while she is alongside, not in drydock”
He says the ferry will be getting some regular maintenance work done after three years of traveling between Digby and Saint John.
“She’s going out late this month for approximately four weeks, starting on the 28th, alongside the dock in the Port of Halifax”
MacDonald says other technical and maintenance work can be done while the vessel is at the wharf.
