The Town of Yarmouth plan to improve its free public WiFi, known as Fishnet.
Mayor Pam Mood says the engineer will send the WiFi receptacles spec sheet and mounting details to Nova Scotia Power.
The units are placed on utility poles.
Mood says reliable public Wifi is a must and a priority for the town.
“Absolutely. it’s a tremendous help for businesses of course, but the visitors come and we have apps that we’ve won awards for that we want people to use>’
She says it’s 2018 and people are using their smartphone for everything.
