The chair of the Yarmouth Dog Park Committee says their temporary location is getting great reviews.
Th’YARC reached out to the committee with president Mitch Bonnar announcing on August 30 that the Yarmouth Dog Park will be located temporarily in the playground at the former Arcadia school.
The committee’s Martha Cassidy it’s been used already.
“The dogs love the temporary place. They really are enjoying it immensely and as a result, so are the owners.”
Cassidy says she’s hosting a meeting tomorrow (Tuesday Sept 11 at her apartment.
They’re looking for volunteers for some small jobs.
“They’re small but important jobs. If one person undertakes them, but no one person can do them all.”
They need people for heading up various committees, help put up boards or lumber to keep smaller dogs inside and remove some rose bushes along the main road.
They also need a person to develop a system to provide bags and garbage receptacles.
Cassidy stresses says how grateful they are to Th’YARC and president Mitch Bonnar for thinking of the dog park committee.
Tuesday night’s meeting is being held at 8 Herbert Street, Unit 3, that’s the Capris Lodge, at 6 p.m.
