Actually, you’re being asked to buy a duck to support the Clare Organization Representing Persons with Disabilities or CORD.
These are rubber ducks to be clear.
This Sunday, September 9, at the Meteghan Fire Hall, up to 899 rubber ducks will be dropped.
The 3 ducks closest to the target will win prizes of $300, $200 and $100.
You can purchase your ducks at participating stores including Weymouth Mercantile, Weymouth Home Hardware, Clare Dodge, Chez Jean, Church Point Club, L’Atelier de Clare, Caisse Pop de Clare Church Point, Lisa T Café, Belliveau Motors , Comeau Seafoods, The Source, La Shoppe Verte, and DJ’s.
The price is $5 per duck or $10 for 3.
