You may have noticed the horse that sits on top of the fountain in Yarmouth’s north end is gone.
Don’t worry, he will be back, he’s just on vacation.
In all seriousness, Mayor Pam Mood says the horse was taken down yesterday by crews, and is now in Lunenburg for ‘repairs and maitenence.’
“And when it returns, we will paint it, and he will stand just as proud as he has for a long time.”
Mood says they did receive some funding to make sure the horse fountains, both in the north and south ends stay in great shape.
She says both fountains are important and integral to Yarmouth’s history.
There is no timeline for the horse’s return.
