A new honour will be presented at this year’s Yarmouth and Area Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
Executive director of the Chamber Rick Allwright says there will be an award for Tourism Business of the Year.
“We have such a great tourism industry in the area, we felt it was due time to add that award into the mix.”
The nominees must be a business that supports the tourism industry in Yarmouth and Acadian Shores.
Some of the criteria include improving the allure of the community for tourists, supporting the community and having a positive impact on the local economy.
The business must be in operation for at least a year.
Nominations for the 13th annual awards will be launched on September 6th.
The deadline to submit a nomination is October 3rd.
The awards will take place on November 1st.
