The Island Traps Schooners fell just short of winning the Nova Scotia Intermediate Baseball League title yesterday.
It came down to the Schooners and the host Windsor Knights in the championship game.
The Schooners had to defeat Windsor 3-0 in a previous game just to have a chance, and they did.
Windsor would end up walking off Shelburne County with a 3-2 win in 14 innings, in a nearly four hour long game.
The Schooners will take part in provincials for intermediate AAA this weekend in Halifax.
After 3 hours and 53 minutes, the game has ended. Windsor walks off 3-2 in 14 innings. Congrats to the Windsor Knights, 2018 #NSIBL Champions. We are back on the road next weekend to Halifax for the 2018 BNS Men’s Intermediate AAA Baseball Provincials
