It’s been two months since a strange odour forced the relocation of the Barrington Community Health Clinic.
While the source of the smell still hasn’t been identified, people in the area will be able to access blood collection services locally starting tomorrow (Aug. 16.)
Argyle-Barrington MLA Chris d’Entremont says he was able to work with the health authority on a temporary solution.
“They moved my office a little bit to use the old blood collection location, which my office was actually in. I’m very happy we were able to get that service back up and running for residents of the area.”
The blood collection clinic is at 3640, Highway 3.
The entrance is on the left-side of the building, near the back, next-door to the VON office.
Health authority spokesperson Fraser Mooney says while air quality tests show the air is safe, further investigation is needed to pinpoint the source of the odour.
“We’re still working on it with our team as well as the ownership of the building.”
He thanked d’Entremont and the Municipality of Barrington for their help.
