Local municipal offices continue to hear reports of wells drying up due to a lack of rainfall.
In Argyle, EMO coordinator Janine Muise says beginning on Monday, the Municipality will have a supply of four-litre jugs of drinking water for residents.
They will also take requests for water delivery for those with mobility issues.
Muise says the situation will likely get worse before it gets better.
“Given that we don’t have a whole lot of rain in the forecast, we’ll be looking at other areas where we can help people by providing access to non-potable water.”
Muise thanks the Mariners Centre for providing drinking water and hot showers for the public.
