Since 1967, many people have been wondering exactly what crashed into the waters of Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia on the night of October 4th.
Starting today, UFO enthusiasts and many others are gathering in Barrington Passage for the 2018 Shag Harbour UFO Conference.
Since 1992, Chris Styles of Dartmouth, has been looking into the incident, and he’ll be one of the keynote speakers this weekend.
Last year, the turnout was fantastic for the 50th Anniversary of the incident and this year, Styles hopes the turnout is a good one.
“A lot of it, I find, depends on how big the topic is at the time in the media, in general, has there been a movie come out, it’s funny but it just stirs that general interest and that trickles down,” says Styles. “Hopefully they get the turnout they did the other year because it was a blast and I just wish them all the best; someday hopefully this will get the attention that cases like Roswell do and become a major tourist attraction, I’d love to see that for them.”
The 2018 Shag Harbour UFO Conference runs today Friday, August 3rd through Sunday, August 5th, 2018 at the Barrington Municipal Arena.
