Nova Scotia’s Education and Early Childhood Development Minister says it’s an exciting time to be involved in education.
Zach Churchill is referring to the province moving forward on another recommendation from the Glaze Report.
He says tells Acadia News the province is seeking applications from across the province for a 15-member provincial advisory council.
“We looking for representatives from the Acadian community, the African Nova Scotian community, the Mi’kmaq community and the special needs community to give advice to the minister.’
Churchill also says his department is working on another recommendation that would see school advisory councils become more involved in the decision making process.
He says the SAC’s will be given funding that they can use in their school communities as they see fit.
