Two hospitals in our region are now facing temporary emergency rooms closures because of staffing issues.
The latest is at Digby General.
The Nova Scotia Health Authority says The ER at Digby General Hospital will be closed today at 6:00 p.m. , reopening tomorrow at morning at 8 .
It will close again Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. and reopen Wednesday morning at 8:00.
The health authority says it’s due to a lack of physician availability.
The ER in Shelburne will be closed for a total of 104 hours including through the long weekend.
