It’s was one of the largest ball tournaments ever in Yarmouth.
The third annual J-STRONG Softball Tourney took place this weekend with 26 teams registered.
They came from Weymouth and Shelburne and elsewhere.
It’s an annual fundraiser for the J-STRONG Foundation, which helps youth access sport in Yarmouth County.
Organizer Steve Berry says they raised $17,600.
“Last year was $13,000, the year before that was $6500. We’re pretty lucky to be going up every year and just continue to get more support from the teams and businesses around. It’s been really great.”
Berry says they had great support from the Yarmouth Co-Ed League with nearly 100 per cent of the teams taking part.
“It just keeps getting bigger and better every year.”
