There are more Loblaw chicken products being recalled today.
Certain $10 Chicken Fries may be contaminated with salmonella.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says they’ve made the recall after an investigation into a foodborne illness outbreak.
The CFIA says more products may be recalled as a result of that investigation.
Yesterday Loblaw No Name Brand Chicken Nuggets were recalled due to a risk of salmonella as well.
The agency is reminding the public that food may not smell or appear spoiled but can still make you ill.
Seven people have fallen ill from Salmonella Enteritidis illness in three jurisdictions: British Columbia (3), Alberta (1), and Ontario (3).
One person has been hospitalized but no deaths have been reported.
The individuals became sick in June 2018.
If you have one of these products you’re encouraged to throw it out or return to the store you purchased it.
