It was the night of October 4th, 1967 that an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) reportedly crashed into the cold, dark waters of Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia.
Numerous reports and witnesses came forward, many of them credible and many of them everyday ordinary folk.
It’s been 51 years since that night and many believe that something did indeed happen on that October night in 1967, including researcher, Chris Styles, who believes it’s still an active case that should further be explored.
Chris Styles began researching the incident back in 1993 and has become one of the leading experts on the case of the Shag Harbour UFO.
He tells Acadia News there very well could be something down there at the bottom of the harbour.
“Fifty one years later, that idea is still valid,” says Styles. “This is now considered Canada’s best UFO case and I think that someday, somebody should go back there and have an even greater look.”
The 51st Annual Shag Harbour UFO Conference takes place August 4th, 5th and 6th at the Barrington Municipal Arena on Sherose Island.

“It’s Canada’s now best case, it was unknown when I began and it’s a compelling argument for UFO reality, it’s something that we should treasure and as far as we can, exploit,” adds Styles.
