The Yarmouth Dog Park committee is wondering when construction will begin.
The project slated for 28 Jarvis Street in town has been planned for the last three years.
Acting president of the Dog Park Association Martha Cassidy sent a letter to Yarmouth town council, wondering if the project had been put on the backburner.
Cassidy says they hope to be able to get the bare bones of the project up soon.
“We’re hoping that the town will find money in its budget sooner rather than later to at least get the fencing up. That’s the most important thing, then people can see it’s there. Then we can fund-raise for some of the other things, what I call the furnishings.”
The association has been invited to present at the next Committee of the Whole meeting later this month.
Mayor Pam Mood says the dog park is an exciting project, with lots of people that want to take part, but they want to make sure it’s done right.
