The Island Traps Schooners now hold first place overall in the Nova Scotia Intermediate Baseball League.
They won three of four games on the road over the weekend to move one game in front of the Windsor Knights for first place.
On Saturday, the Schooners took both games of a doubleheader against the Braves in Kennetcook, 10-2 and then 9-6 in an intense 10 inning contest.
Yesterday, the Schooners split a doubleheader against the Shamrocks in Hantsport, winning the first game 6-2 and dropping the second in a close 6-5 contest.
The Schooners next games are against Noel Road in Clark’s Harbour on July 28th.
