A tropical storm has formed off the Carolina coast as of this Sunday morning.
According to Environment Canada, Tropical Storm Chris is expected to head northeastward on Tuesday and gain strength as it does.
The storm could reach hurricane status by late Tuesday, early Wednesday.
It’s expected to approach Nova Scotia by Thursday though likely weakening by its arrival.
The Canadian Hurricane Centre is monitoring the situation however Environment Canada says there is still a ‘good deal’ of uncertainty as they track the storm.
Both agencies will continue issuing bulletins regarding the system.
