We can expect some relief from the heat wave that’s been sticking around.
Late last week a ridge of high pressure stalled over the region, prompting Environment and Climate Change Canada to issue a Heat Warning.
Meteorologist Ian Hubbard says there’ll be a break from this hot, humid weather.
“We’re expecting today and tomorrow to be the last couple of days of this before we see a trough push through on Friday that’s going to probably bring some showers and cooler temperatures as well.”
Hubbard says temperatures are well above normal seasonal values and in some cases, record setting with Humidex values on the high 30’s to low 40’s inland.
