You’re being invited to ‘run the lake for goodness sake!’
The annual Lake Run takes place Sunday morning around Doctors Lake in Yarmouth.
It’s a fundraiser for the Yarmouth Y Whitecaps swim team.
Organizer Bobby Lou Reardon says it helps support swimmers go off to meets, which are usually held in Halifax.
“It helps support swimmers that are going off to meets, sometimes it helps them with equipment, or coaching expenses.”
The 6.7 kilometre run begins around 9am at the municipal building in Hebron.
Reardon says there are two hills near the beginning and the course is pretty flat after that.
Registration can be done before the race or at Runner’s Attic.
