Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery is more than a resting place for the dearly departed.
It’s a place to relax and enjoy the trees, gardens, greenery and fountains and …and learn.
The headstones will reveal amazing stories of people and life back many years ago.
That rich history will be brought alive once again this year with the return of the walking tours.
Joy Cunningham, from Carleton, Yarmouth County, is your guide this year and is really excited about starting the walking tours on Monday July 2.
“We’re doling a wide variety. Seven different tours with a couple of additions from last year. I’m putting my own spin on the tours.”
The walking tours take place Monday to Thursday 1, 3 and 6:30 p.m. and Fridays at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
There will also be three Saturday tours…July 14 and 28th and August 4 at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
