The Island Traps Schooners split their season opening doubleheader Saturday against Truro in Clark’s Harbour.
The Bearcats took the first game 5-2, but the Schooners responded with a 6-3 victory in Game 2.
The Schooners play in the Nova Scotia Intermediate Baseball League.
Their next games are Saturday at 1 and 3 in Clark’s Harbour against Kennetcook.
