Frost Park in Yarmouth will once again host ‘Music in the Park’ this year.
It began last year as a way to create more vibrancy in the downtown park.
Musicians, artists and more are invited to take part during select evenings.
Councillor Wade Cleveland says the response was good last year.
“We always have something going on. The crowds were a little on the slow side, but I think it’s one of those things that we need to build up as we go. Many of the artists were bringing crowds with them, which I think is really great.”
He says they are hoping to build on the event this year with even more musicians and artists.
Cleveland says a big aspect of it as well is busking.
“We can create a small community of buskers that play not just Frost Park, but other areas of the town as well. That would be a fantastic thing to have all the time, all summer long.”
The first event will be held on June 19th, and those interested in taking part can contact Yarmouth town hall.
