The province’s teachers will decide today who will speak for them for the next two years.
Elections are underway to name the next president of the Nova Scotia’s Teachers Union.
Five NSTU members have put their names forward: Cherie Abriel, current president Liette Doucet, Grant Frost, Shawn Hanifen, and Paul Wozney.
The electronic poll will collect votes from the almost 11,000 eligible members.
Voting began at six o’clock this morning and will close this evening at eight.
The president’s next two-year term starts August 1.
Election results will be announced at nine o’clock tonight.
