A 21 year old Digby County man has been charged after allegedly sexually exploiting a 12 year old girl online.
Patrick Thibault was arrested without incident at a residence in Smiths Cove, and is facing child pornography, luring and sexual exploitation charges.
The RCMP provincial internet child exploitation unit led the investigation, assisted by their technological crime unit, special tactical operations team and Digby RCMP.
This after a 12 year old girl and a parent in Wisconsin, USA contacted the Walworth County Sherriff’s Office to report that the girl had been exploited online.
Thibault has been released on conditions and will appear in court on June 26th.
