Progress on a dog park in Yarmouth is coming right along.
It’s located at 28 Jarvis Street, on land provided by the Town of Yarmouth.
Yarmouth Dog Park Association acting-president Martha Cassidy says businesses and the public are really on-side as well.
They’ve been donating money to help them buy fencing for the park.
“In sort of $300 increments… last count I have, we had 47 sections already paid for.”
Cassidy says the town has been very supportive, surprising the association with a $650 grant.
The town also prepared the site and have paid for a landscape company to design the dog park.
Members of the association will be at this weekend’s Spring Living Show at Mariners Centre.
