Twenty people in the South Shore will soon join an exclusive club.
MP Bernadette Jordan will be awarding a limited edition Canada 150 pin to 20 deserving constituents.
Jordan is asking people to nominate individuals whose efforts align with the Canada 150 celebrations: diversity and inclusion, reconciliation with Indigenous peoples, environment, and youth.
“Cool thing to have, not many people are going to get them. I have, I say 20, but I actually have 19. Because, Stella Bowles, when we announced the clean up of the LaHave river received the first one.”
“These pins are actually very unique. There are only 6,000 of them. They are made out of the copper from the roofs of [Parliament’s] West Block which has just undergone a total renovation.”
Nominations will be accepted until December 7th, before they’re reviewed by a selection committee.
Winners will receive their pins from Jordan December 20th.
