The Mayor of Shelburne says the town has lots of activities and events for the Christmas season.
Tomorrow (Thursday Nov. 23) at 4:15pm there’s a free family skate at the Shelburne County Arena.
Friday marks the arrival of Santa and the lighting of the town Christmas tree at 6pm.
Mayor Karen Mattatall says the Jolly Old Elf will be at a different location this year.
“He’s going to be at the Guild Hall. He’ll arrive on the fire truck. So for treats from Santa parents and children can go to the Guild Hall.”
Shelburne’s Christmas Parade of Lights takes place Saturday night at 6:30.
“Santa will be travelling in the long boat sleigh. They’re doing a project called Sink The Boat where they’re asking people to bring donations for the food bank or gifts for the Giving Tree. They’ll be collecting them for those events.
