RCMP have confirmed a half-ton truck was submerged in a Yarmouth County lake.
Media spokesperson Corporal Dal Hutchinson says the Yarmouth Rural detachment received a report yesterday afternoon around 2 and responded to a lake on the Shunacadie Road in East Quinan.
Cpl. Hutchinson says the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team pulled the vehicle from the lake today, seven to eight metres from shore in about seven metres of water.
“At this time, there is no indication if anyone was in the vehicle when it did enter the water. At this time, investigators are following up with the owner to try and determine how the truck landed there.”
He says the truck is a 2015 GMC Sierra.
