It looks like the Roaring 20’s Antique Auto Club Classic Car Show could extend by one day next year.
Members of the club made a presentation to Yarmouth town council on Thursday, noting the success of this year’s event and laying out plans for 2018.
They mentioned that they received word from many visitors that adding the Sunday would be beneficial.
Council members agreed.
Mayor Pam Mood says closing down Main Street for these types of events has proven successful.
“Talk to shop owners, they say it’s the best day of the year. It’s crazy busy downtown. It draws attention to the town and the entire region so it’s positive on every front.”
Council will make a motion at Committee of the Whole on Thursday to grant the extra day.
Over 500 cars took part in the show last year.
