MHL Team Eastlink did not qualify for the playoff round at the 2017 Eastern Canada Cup Junior A Challenge in Ontario.
The team won one out of four games at the tournament, dropping their final game 3-2 in a shootout to Team OJHL Nieuwendyk today.
Three members of the Yarmouth Mariners organization were part of the team.
Forward Matt Barron scored one goal, defenseman Noah McMullin played and Head Coach Laurie Barron served as an Assistant Coach on the MHL squad.
The Mariners will hit the road for three games in three nights this weekend, starting Friday night in Campbellton.
They’ll move onto Miramichi Saturday and finish up in Edmunston on Sunday afternoon.
Yarmouth sits in second place in the Eastlink South Division with a record of 13-4.
