A threat made against a Chester school is being called a hoax.
South Shore Regional School Board Superintendent Scott Milner says a thorough investigation by school officials and the RCMP have led them to determine there was never a real threat to Forest Heights High School.
A note discovered in a washroom by a custodian Friday led to concerns there could have been a violent incident.
Milner says RCMP have spoken with the student who wrote the note and concluded their investigation.
RCMP were present at Forest Heights yesterday as they looked into the threat.
RCMP spokesperson Dal Hutchinson says incidents like this are concerning because they take resources away from other areas where their needed.
And when a threat is made, RCMP take them seriously.
